God is...

I woke up and realized that today is December 1st! I began to reflect on the year and how much I've grown in my walk with Christ. This year I began to seek God like never before, and He's showing me some amazing things through His word. Yesterday I started, Rediscovering The Christmas Season. I went to today's reading in Matthew in the Amplified Version. This verse really spoke to me:

She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus [the Greek form of the Hebrew Joshua, which means Savior], for He will save His people from their sins [that is, prevent them from failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God]. Matthew 1:21

This is what Christmas is all about. Jesus was born to prevent us from failing and missing the true scope (which is defined as an area in which something acts or operates or has power or control) of life. Over and over again this year, God has shown me that He is my life. My thoughts are His thoughts. My steps are His steps. We are one, with His Spirit living inside of me. God is not something we "do" on Sunday's or Christmas & Easter or when we need something. Jesus was born to be our Savior AND be our life! In this season of celebration and busyness, let us not forget that.

What a gift God gave us through His one and only Son...Life!

A Revelation

The past couple of months have been so amazing in my walk with Christ. I have a strong desire to know Him more, spend time with Him to know His Truth for me and my family. God has been speaking so clearly to Scott and I - giving us vision and dreams for how He wants to use us individually and as a family. He has placed some pretty amazing people in our lives that have encouraged us and are helping us grow and believing in us. Without a doubt, I can say this is the most incredible time and His presence is so powerful in our lives.

I've been reading my bible like never before and letting God reveal His Truth to me. I'm slowly but surely letting Him strip the layers of pride and self away and letting Him show me how much He loves me and how special He thinks I am...the Truth about who I am in Jesus Christ. My continued prayer has been "more of you, Lord, less of me." There is still something I've struggled with and I guess I really just pushed it aside thinking that as I grow in my faith, it will/I will get better. Hold that thought. I'll come back to this.

I've been blessed with an amazing mentor and a small group of girls that I get to meet with once a month. We met this past Tuesday and I was in the middle of sharing how excited I am about having a deeper relationship with God and how I can't get enough of my bible and podcasts, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! I admitted that I still see pride and selfishness as big problems in my life. My very wise mentor began to speak. She said, "Stop seeing yourself apart from God. You are 50/50 - 50% flesh and 50% Spirit." These two, the flesh and the Holy Spirit oppose each other. (Galatians 5:16) Everyday you walk with the same Spirit. You are one."
Your pride and selfishness are sin. Meditate on this: He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world. (1 John 2:2)" Sure I know that Jesus died for my sins, but then she said something that hit me like a ton of bricks. "Jesus says, 'I forgive you of your sins. I paid for them already. I chose you, I love you. You don't have to feel guilty. Don't you see that?'" Whoa! Guilty? I don't have gui...Oh. My. Word. That's it. A light came on. You see the little thing, the struggle I mentioned above is this: I know Jesus lives in me, but why do I struggle with fruits of the Spirit flowing from my life? Example: how I respond to my girls when they are tattling, bickering over a toy or simply not listening. Letting the mask off here...I snap at my children at times, I raise my voice, yell if you will. I don't like it, but I do it. Here is the problem and here is where the "whoa" comes in. I immediately feel terrible for lashing out at the sweet blessings the Lord has given me. In a second, I am consumed with guilt opening up a door allowing the devil to come in and fill my head with lies. Here is what I often hear: No wonder I can't get pregnant and have another baby. Why would God want to give me another child when I can't even handle to 2 I have? Lies, lies, lies. And there I sit, consumed with this horrible guilt - sin - that I've already been set free from. SELFISH!

Here is the good news: I don't have to be ashamed or feel guilty. It's been paid for! Romans 8:1 says, there is no condemnation for those who belong to Jesus Christ! Talk about a breakthrough! Praise God! I learned that night that even if I feel myself starting to slip to raise my voice, that I have the authority to stop it. It's ok to admit to my girls that I messed up and that I'm sorry...use this as a teaching moment. "I'm not perfect, but God is!" I see now that I don't need to sit and feel guilty. Instead I must stop the behavior and put my focus back on the Truth. I must not allow guilt or allow myself to have a pity party. I must learn to deny myself so that my flesh my die and I'll walk in the Spirit just as God has intended. (Galatians 5:16)

I'm writing this to encourage you today and also as a reminder to myself. Don't let your selfishness, your guilt, your pride block God's POWER in your life. The same power that conquered the grave lives in you and me! (Romans 8:11) The very same power! My very same wise mentor that I mentioned above has also taught me that pity parties and selfishness block this Power.

Now what?

Jesus says, "Come to me..." (Matthew 11:28) so that is what I will do. I am praying and asking God to reveal to me how to let go of all that is holding me back. As I prayed this just this morning, a very wise 9 year old shared her version, a video via email, of Galatians 5:1 with me. "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Seek God. Pray and read your bible. He will show you, too.

Turkey Chili

This is one my favorite fall foods! I am going to give you the recipe that makes lots of servings. We usually have people over to watch Sooner Football when I make this. It's also yummy reheated and on hot dogs.

Ingredients:
4-5 lbs Lean Ground Turkey
16 oz Tomato Sauce or Tomato Paste
2 c water (may use more)
Williams Original Chili Season (for 4 lbs Meat)*
     *this is my FAVORITE!
Lawry's Seasoning Salt
Garlic Powder
Ketchup
Yellow Mustard

Directions:
1. Brown ground turkey in a LARGE skillet. I season the turkey with Lawry's and Garlic Powder.
2. Add tomato sauce/paste and water.
3. Blend in chili seasoning.
4. Simmer for at least 15 min.
5. Stir in more water if desired. The secret to making super yummy chili is adding ketchup. I just take the bottle and squirt it in. I don't really know how much, but I use quite a bit. I also put in a little mustard....just a little bit.
6. Let simmer and stir occasionally. Add more water, Lawry's, garlic powder and/or ketchup to taste.
7. Enjoy with shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, Fritos or on hot dogs!

Blue Sticky Vision Wall

"Chazown. It’s the Hebrew word for vision, and it’s what God had in mind for you when you were created. Each of us is a masterpiece, placed on earth for a unique purpose that’s solely ours to fulfill. Come uncover God’s dream for your life—your Chazown." -Craig Groeschel

In this week's message, CHAZOWN our Senior Pastor, Craig Groeschel mentioned a Vision Wall that his friends, the Yates encourage families to do. The Lord has blessed our family with the friendship of the Yates family. We recently had them over for dinner and we ended up doing  our very own "Blue Sticky Vision Wall."  I wanted to share about this to encourage you and your family to do the same. It has been so amazing for our family.

Tracy & Sheri simply asked us, "what are the dreams God has put on your heart?" I was speechless at first. Sure I have dreams, Scott and I have dreams, but we have never really shared them with anyone. We started sharing, they stared writing and posting those blue sticky notes to our wall. We talked more and then they encouraged us to take yellow sticky notes and post our "Next Steps." Scott and I went to bed with such excitement. We had talked about all of these things before, but it ended there. Just weeks earlier, Scott and I attended LifeChurch.tv Edmond Campus Vision Night (I posted a bit about it here.) God started giving us a new vision that night. Now these dreams-God's vision for our lives are out there, posted for all who comes into our house to see. They are no longer things we just talk about, we are now praying and asking God to show us what's next.

Since that night, Scott and I have continued to pray and pray boldly for God to give us His vision and we've continued to post new blue stickies. The CHAZOWN message was further encouragement for us. Since creating our Blue Sticky Vision Wall, we have absolutely experienced all four phases that Craig spoke about. We've been certain that God has called us to write this down and post specific dreams/vision. There was a BIG vision God clearly gave to both of us. After discussing this particular vision, we looked at each other and said "how in the world are we going to do that?" We knew that this was a vision that was not going to be easy and we did not know how we were going to make this happen, but we knew that He called us to it, He could and would make it happen. Literally a day after He gave us this vision, a phone call came...this call was the "how." He is faithful! The days following we were met with unbelievable resistance. We were hit with attacks that tried to make us question. Again, He is faithful. He gave us an unbelievable peace and clarity. We are in the "next step" process of this particular vision. We are so excited about the lives that this will impact and are so thankful that God is allowing our family to serve Him in this way.

We have also been able to talk to Abigail about her dreams. She LOVES this wall! Here are a some of her dreams:

This child just turned 5 years old! Scott and I are praying with her and we will figure out what our next steps need to be in order to make her dreams come true. We will also continue to teach to seek God and to dream big dreams. She will get to teach her little sister, Ashby to do the same. We are so thankful that God put the Yates' Family in our lives and that they shared this with us. Generations will be different all because of one very amazing pizza night at our home.

I encourage you to first, watch the CHAZOWN message if you haven't already. (LifeChurch.tv campuses are offering Chazown Experiences to help you learn more about your purpose and the steps you can take to pursue that purpose.) Second, pray and start your own Vision Wall. Seek God and ask Him to give you and your family vision. Pray bold prayers and watch that vision come to life. You'll be thankful you did!

Recipes

Ground Turkey Sloppy Joes
I went off of the Pioneer Woman's sloppy joes recipe but used ground turkey instead of ground beef and added a couple of my own ingredients.

  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2-½ pounds Ground Turkey
  • ½ whole Large Onion, Diced
  • 1 whole Large Green Bell Pepper, Diced
  • 5 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1-½ cup Ketchup
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Chili Powder (more To Taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard
  • Worcestershire Sauce To Taste
  • 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • Salt To Taste
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper, To Taste
  • Kaiser Rolls
1. Add butter to a large skillet over medium high heat. Add ground turkey and cook until brown. Drain most of the fat and discard.Add onions, green pepper, and garlic. Cook for a few minutes, or until vegetables begin to get soft.
2. Add ketchup, brown sugar, chili pepper, dry mustard, and water. Stir to combine and simmer for 15 minutes, adding salt and pepper to taste. Also add tomato paste, Worcestershire, and mustard. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
3. Place rolls in oven to brown. Spoon meat mixture over the rolls. These are yummy with kettle chips or sweet potato fries!

Pumpkin Bread
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans.

2. In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, eggs, oil, water and sugar until well blended. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger. Stir the dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture until just blended. Pour into the prepared pans.

3. Bake for about 50 minutes. Loaves are done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Ashby Lauren's 2nd Birthday

We celebrated our "baby's" 2nd birthday on Sunday, September 12th. I thought I'd take a second to share the story of her birth before I tell you all about her fun birthday party.

Scott, Abigail & I welcomed Ashby Lauren on Friday, September 12th at 12:04pm.  She weighed 5 lbs 13 oz and was 18 1/2 inches.  She came almost 4 weeks early...we weren't expecting her until Oct. 5th!  God is so good!  Scott had been in San Francisco all week and wasn't scheduled to be home until late Friday night.  Hurricane Ike was making its way to the Texas coast.  Scott didn't want to get stuck in San Francisco or in an airport all weekend, so he decided to try to get a flight out a day early.  He was able to get out and made it home around 7:30pm Thursday night (the 11th.)  I started having contractions around 9:30pm.  I had not had any signs of labor or contractions prior to this!  Though they were pretty strong, I thought it was still too early and that they would pass.  I was able to go to sleep, but woke up a couple of times with contractions.  Again, they were very sporadic and I still had 3 weeks to go.  I rolled over at 3:15am on Friday the 12th and told Scott that I thought my water broke.  Sure enough.  We gathered our things, called my mom, woke Abigail and headed to Mercy Health Center.  We got into triage just around 5:30am.  At 6:15am they confirmed that I was "ruptured,"  dilated to a 3 and that we would be having a baby today.  I was moved up to the Labor & Delivery floor at around 7 am at a 4.  Pitocin was started and I got my epidural around 10:30am.  I was already at a 7-8.  This little girl was ready to come into the world!  My OB happened to be out of town, but his partner Dr. Wilkes came into to "catch" Asbhy (Dr. Wilkes was great! We really liked her!)  I pushed 4 times...literally...and she was here just after noon.  What a God thing that Scott was able to get on a plane and home just hours before all of the excitement.  If he had stayed, the earliest he would have been able to get to OKC was 3pm Friday afternoon and that was with no problems getting through Houston.  We are so blessed and are so thankful.  Though she was a "premie," Ashby came into this world very healthy.  She was taken into the transition unit of the nursury for monitoring for about an hour after birth, but her breathing and vitals remained strong.  We were able to bring her home just 26 hours after she was born.  As always, God's timing was so perfect!

Born at 12:04pm Weighing 5 lbs 13 oz, 18 1/2 inches long
The Stemmons' 4

Ashby LOVES The Wiggles, so our family joined us for her Wiggly Birthday Party. We had lots of yummy food-Wags the Dog Sandwiches, Hot Potatoes, Fruit Salad Rosy Tea and of course an amazing birthday cake.

2 Years Old Today

The kiddos enjoyed a Wiggly Dance Party, a game of Hot Potato, Pin the Tail on Wags and watching Ashby open presents.

She had such a wonderful day celebrating with our family.

Happy Birthday dear Ashby...
She is so loved!

A healthy perspective is really important in life. It is almost comical the situations that we get ourselves wrapped up in, and then wallow in misery about! This is because we are not focused on God. When you fill your heart with your relationship with God, you will get past these silly things. Selah!

People want to suffer and be miserable. Jesus died for our salvation and freedom from bondage, but we fill our hearts with envy, and malice instead of his love. In many ways, we are like the Israelites leaving bondage in Egypt, and then complaining about freedom!

No!! Let God fill you up with the love of Jesus Christ and rejoice! He is the King of Kings. He is our Savior.

Ross Perot was commissioned to do a study on children and the way that they learn, he produced a study that essentially said that children learn more in between the ages of 1-5 than they will the rest of their lives. To quote "Parenthood" (a great Steve Martin movie) "they are like sponges yet we treat them like delightful idiots."

I sang a song to Abigail every day when she was a baby, it was the States song. A song I learned in elementary school, and it stuck. She remembers it and can sing it even today! Does she understand what a state is? Ask her where Disneyworld is, she can show you what the state of Florida looks like. Ask her where she lives, and she can show you Oklahoma.

Like the base of a pyramid, she has a strong foundation and likes to learn new things every day. She soaks information up like a sponge and Jemma and I are there with context. Ashby is learning the books of the Bible now, and I am constantly amazed at how easily she can remember the words to songs.

We need to expect more from our kids. They are not delightful idiots, but blessings from God!

Learning Responsibility & Earning Money

Scott & I went through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University a while back. Immediately after watching Lesson 2-Relating with Money, we came up with a "To Do" Chart & Commission system for Abigail. She was 3 at the time. We still use this system with her today and created a Chart for Ashby this week. She's starting her even earlier as she just turned 2 last weekend. This has been a wonderful tool to get them used to having responsibilities around the house and a great way to teach them about money.

Abigail & Ashby's To Do Charts
The girls' charts start on Sunday and are complete Saturday evening. Abigail's  has 4 To Do Categories. They include staying in bed/in her room every morning until at least 7am, bringing her dishes into the kitchen after each meal (she has actually started washing them out on her own and will put them in the dish washer), picking up her toys, feeding her frogs twice a week and helping me with baby boy I nanny for Monday-Friday. She is able to earn $1 per category or $4 per week if she gets all her checks every day for the entire week. The checks are not given freely. She must do each thing each day to earn a check on her chart. When she turns 5 in October, she will get another "to do" and will be able to earn up to $5 per week. Ashby can earn up to $2 per week by picking up her toys before nap and bedtime. Once she gets the hang of this we will add another "to do" for her as well. At each birthday we will continue to add responsibilities and pay.

Abigail's Frogs Rocky & Numbers
She purchased her first pets with commission money
At the end of each week (Saturday evening), we get together as a family and go over their charts and pay them their commissions (we do not believe in an allowance, but they get paid a commission for the "work" they do.) We celebrate for each dollar they get. The girls wad up their money and throw it into a tall, clear jar that we keep on their dressers.

Commission Jars
They are able to watch the money grow and grow week after week. Once the jars are full, it's pay day! We count all of the money and then divide it into 3 envelopes.

Pay Day
The first 10% goes into the "tithe" envelope. We teach our girls that our first fruits back to God. Abigail fills out an envelope at church and we take it and drop it in the offering bucket for her. She will do this on her own once she gets into a class that collects tithes & offerings. The next 10% goes into the "savings" envelope. We are teaching the girls about their savings accounts and how their money will grow when we leave it in an account at the bank. We take them to the bank to make the deposit. The rest of the money is theirs to spend on whatever they wish. They can take it and spend it all or continue to save it for a more expensive want. If Abigail picks out a $25 toy and only has $23, Scott & I DO NOT throw in the extra money. We don't even help out with tax. If she doesn't have enough for what she really wants, she can wait until the next pay day. This means she will leave her money in the envelope and  wait until her jar is completely full of $1 bills until she gets paid again. Believe it or not, at 4 years old, she has done this! She saved and saved until we went to Disney World and she picked out and purchased some pretty fun stuff. Sometimes she will ask to go to a particular store and she will spend it all. Today we went to Mardel. She got paid $21. She purchased $20.55 worth of stuff. The $0.45 went back into her envelope. Other times, she spends a little on herself and then will pick out things for her sister or others. When she got paid around Christmas, she decided she wanted to use her own money to pick out gifts for family and friends. We took her to Dollar Tree where her money would go a lot farther, and let her pick out and pay for gifts for whoever she chose. (When Abigail is ready to make her purchase, she takes it up to the register and counts out her money to pay for it.) When she turns 5 next month, we will start teaching her about offerings (giving over and above the tithe) through our church and give her the opportunity to use her money in that way if she chooses.

For more about teaching your children about money, I encourage you to check out this article by Dave Ramsey.

everybody, everywhere!
Clean up, clean up...

I Found My Words

I posted this statement on Twitter & Facebook last night: "What an AMAZING day! I'm at a loss for words. God is so crazy cool!" In a matter of minutes, I got replies and text messages asking me if I was pregnant or if Scott had gotten a new job, did I sell my car/get a new one, even people asking me about my afternoon of pampering and shopping with my girls...did I buy some fun stuff today? All of these things I would celebrate and praise God for. Without a doubt, all of these are great blessings. But no, I'm not pregnant, we are still waiting to hear on a job offer for Scott, I did not get a new car and I didn't  go on a crazy shopping spree (I did get a new Power Balance Band that's pretty cool, though.) :)

The "amazingness" actually started on Thursday. I told Scott that I feel God is about to do something BIG in our lives. I don't know specifically what this is, but I feel God telling me to continue to have peace in the waiting, He is preparing us. Our church, LifeChurch.tv Edmond Campus, hosted a Vision Night, so our family went. It was an incredible night of worship and we got to hear from our Senior Pastor, Craig Groeschel about the future of our Campus. During the worship time, I told God that I am and my family is completely surrendered to Him...whatever He asks of us, we will boldly step up to His calling. I pray this often, but it was different this time. I'm having trouble getting the words out to explain it. The best way I can explain is that maybe finally, I really meant it. Does that make sense? I think we pray and tell God things, but maybe we don't fully, deep down in our hearts mean it. We want to mean it,  and have really good intentions, but we don't actually completely give it to Him. "God use me, use my family for Your glory" I continued to pray. "Help us reach out to more people and share Your love, Lord. More of You, less of me!" As Craig spoke about our Campus Vision, I looked over at Scott and we both said, "WOW!" He whispered something to me, I agreed (something that God had obviously put on both our hearts.) The words that Craig spoke, our church's vision echoed ours: how can we reach more people for Christ, the importance of pouring into the next generation, surrounding ourselves with people that can speak into our lives, our children's lives.  BIG! Cool!
(On a side note: more than ever, Scott and I are so thankful God led us to LifeChurch! We've never been more excited to serve at our campus and are on fire for the Lord in a new and exciting way.)

Here is where the really cool stuff begins:
I walk out to get our girls and check my phone before going to the lobby to fellowship with others who came. There is a text message from a neighbor, who has no idea that we are at church at this time. She is asking me about our church and about the worship. I've talked to these neighbors so much about our church and have left countless invites for At the Movies, etc with them. Now, in God's perfect timing, our neighbors college-aged sisters who are now living with them, want to visit LifeChurch.tv with us. Very cool!

Our family also loved getting to spend time chatting with some other believers there in the lobby after the worship & message. I got to talk to one of my favorite people in the world...someone God has put in my life this past year or so. I absolutely love anytime I get to spend with the awesome lady. I always get so much out of conversations...even brief ones. I love how she boldly speaks into my life. I got the opportunity to ask her if we could spend more time together. She agreed. I can't wait to see what God teaches me through her.

While this isn't a new thing, I woke up Friday morning so grateful that God has called me to stay at home with our girls. How cool is it that I get to spend my days educating and equipping them? Abigail gets to come to me and to Scott when she has questions about "life" instead of reaching out to a peer for answers. Day after day, I get to be Abigail & Ashby's example.  Wow! A great calling and oh so very cool! We had such a fun Friday. Scott treated his girls to mani/pedi's. A nice treat indeed! They were so well behaved in the spa...even my not quite 2 year old, Ashby! I let Abigail pick out a color for them, then they crawled up in the big chairs and sat so politely. When they were finished, the nice ladies from the spa pulled up a big chair next to me. Abigail & Ashby sat there and giggled, ooooh'd & awwww'd over their pretty toes and had snacks. Ladies in the spa were so complimentary of these two sweet girls. They commented on how well behaved they both were. One mom said, "I could never bring my 2 1/2 year old into a place like this. I'm impressed!" Another lady said to Abigail, "you are so polite and you listen to your mommy so well." Abigail's replied, "I honor my mommy. My sister does, too. We are very good girls!" I asked her why she honored her mommy. She said, "because Jesus is in my heart!" WOW! This from a mouth of a not quite 5 year old. Yes, again, COOL!

Scott decided to meet us at the mall. As he was pulling in, he saw a man carrying a gas can. He pulled up next to him and told him to get into the car and he would take him to a gas station. They talked along the way. They pulled up to a gas station and Scott told the man that he needed to fill up his car so that he would fill up his gas can for him. Scott also got to talk to this man about the love of Jesus Christ and invited this man to come to church with our family. We fully expect to see him this Sunday!

I am not bragging or trying to say that I am the best mom ever and that I have the most extraordinary kids on earth. Or that you should pat us on the back for helping someone in need. I have a point, though. It's coming!

Here we go:
This world is not our home. We are here for a short time. If our lives are consumed with material things (a new job, a new car, a shopping trip) then friends, we are missing the point. There is so much more! When we FULLY SURRENDER our lives to Christ, let go of fear, let go of worry, let go of pride and our need for control, He is able to do more in you and through you than you could ever imagine = BLESSINGS. I cannot express how eternally grateful I am that the Lord got a hold of Scott and I when I was pregnant with Abigail. Our lives are radically different and our girls and future kids will grow up knowing and sharing Christ making an eternal difference and changing the lives of others. We are not perfect and we will still slip. After all we are all sinners. We wouldn't need a Savior otherwise. But, we are focused on God. I will not be ashamed of my faith. I will embrace being different. I will share His love in all I do...by example and through the words I speak. I will let God use me in any way He can and will remember that just because I am called to do something, doesn't mean that it will be easy.  I will remember that "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 I will deny my fleshly need for control and will depend on Him more than ever.

In summary, why was Friday so amazing? I am loved and am a child of God. He gave me another day to serve Him and make a difference here on earth through Him. God has blessed me with a loving, committed and godly husband who leads this family and I honor and respect him so much.  We have two precious girls that we get to raise up to love the Lord. I get be a part of God's amazing work and let Him move in and through our lives. I am in awe of the work He is doing through my church and in and through the lives of so many of our friends and family. I know that this is just a start. I cannot wait to see more of the BIG things God has in store for us!

I pray that the love of Christ permeates your lives. I pray that you step out in faith and let God use you. Find a church home, surround yourself with other Christians, and develop a true love relationship with God by diving into the Bible and spending time in prayer with Him.  I invite you to share some of your "crazy cool God" stories. I will continue to share as God leads me.
